Time: 6:00pm – 9:30 pm, Sunday, November 24, 2019
Museum of Flight, 9404 E. Marginal Way, Seattle, WA 98108
This year's Reception will be at the Museum of Flight, the largest independent, non-profit air and space museum in the world! With over 175 aircraft and spacecraft, tens of thousands of artifacts, millions of rare photographs, dozens of exhibits and experiences and a world-class library, the Museum and its people bring mankind's incredible history of flight to life. The Museum of Flight mission is to acquire, preserve and exhibit historically significant air and space artifacts, which provide a foundation for scholarly research and lifelong learning programs that inspire an interest in and understanding of science, technology and the humanities. The Museum of Flight docents (derived from the Latin word docere, means “to teach”) are passionate, approachable and full of incredible knowledge, and we encourage all APS members to interact with them and engage them in aviation and space-related discussions.
A list of all exhibits can be found here. All exhibit areas will be open and you can take your food and drinks throughout the building. Please plan to drop your backpack at your hotel and enjoy a wonderful evening.
The reception is included in the registration fee for those who register as APS Members, Nonmembers, Graduate Students, and Retired Members.
